A NOTE ABOUT PUBLICATIONS: My career has not followed a traditional academic/research path. From 1961 until 1969 I did comparative and physiological psychology. Between 1969 and 1976 I was involved in several areas with policy implications (primate utilization, social intervention, ethics of markets, and the psychology-law interface). Between 1976 and 1997 I concentrated on legal psychology, court administration, trial management, and judicial behavior. Between 1997 and 2004 I was thoroughly engaged with questions of court and judicial management in the bankruptcy system. From 2004 until the present, I have become progressively more involved with the relationship between psychology and religion, Buddhism in particular.
